The Star of Hope’s Campus Ministry in the Philippines has made a great difference in the lives of the students and community by planting seeds of knowledge about God and inspiring kids to learn more about Jesus.
Those seeds have grown and we are grateful that most of them are now serving the Lord in many churches and sharing the knowledge they have about God with others in the community. Some of those community members have begun attending the church as a result and have entered different ministries. Now they too share what they’ve learned and their experiences of God’s goodness to the students. Here are some of the sentiments of the students:
”Campus Ministry has been a big help for me. I got to know God more and I am now continuously attending Sunday services and fellowships. I also joined DOTA (Dancers of the Almighty) and sharing what God has given me.” -Christian Benedict Austria, Grade 9
”I became part of the Campus Ministry and am very grateful also to be part of the dance ministry and the church to get to know God more and learn so many things about Him.” -Evelyn Tayco, Grade 8
”I am thankful for being part of the campus ministry and gaining more friends. I am also thankful for learning how to praise and worship God.” -John Roy Bautista, Grade 7
”Campus Ministry teaches a lot of things practically and Biblically.
They build our character in a better way and I got involved by assisting in teaching Grade 6 students.” -Jude Turaray, Grade 10 ”
I am an Elementary School Teacher at Star of Hope’s School in Taytay. I am thankful for being part of the Summer Youth Camp because I found God and a family that is very welcoming. Now I am part of the DOTA (Dancers of the Almighty).” – Marjohn M. Bandalan “
I am a product of campus ministry and it has played the biggest part in my Christian life. I was sponsored to attend the youth camp and as a result began to get curious about Christ and His Words. I started attending the church the same year and now I am trying to give back by sharing what I have learned about Jesus to others. I am serving as a member of the core group of the youth department. If it were not for the campus ministry, I would not be the person I am today.” -Chikee Ann
The campus ministry is dedicated to its mission and is inspired by the community influences and changes that they are seeing. This team is committed to continue being used by Christ as instruments to share His words and His promises.
